Because, according to multiple reports, the country music star recently re-upped his deal with Warner Records, and, according to Variety, “has sold or is in the process of selling his publishing catalog.”

The two deals, combined, total a whopping $350 million for Bryan. To put that in perspective, the 29-year-old had an estimated net worth of $8 million prior to the deals. While he is not likely to pocket the entire $350 million, it certainly looks like that net worth is about to get a considerable bump.

Variety reported that Bryan has been in negotiations with Warner for some time. The site said that while it was clear that Warner was “determined to keep him,” it faced ‘stiff competition from Universal.”

The site also reported that the buyer that purchased Bryan’s publishing is “a new entity, apparently called the Merrit Group, that is helmed by Cameron Strang.” Strang, per Variety, was previously the VP of Warner Bros. Records and Warner Chappell Music publishing.

Variety said that Bryan has been Warner’s top performing artist for nearly three years.
