Liam Delap could not wipe the grin off his face now that he is finally wearing a Chelsea shirt and he marked his debut with an assist for Enzo Fernandez.
It was an encouraging performance for the former Ipswich Town striker, who faces competition from Nicolas Jackson. He also bagged an assist today.

“They’ve welcomed me really well, I’ve only had a few sessions here but I can’t wait for more. It’s important to help the team but I want to score some as well.
“It’s always healthy to have competition, that’s football and this is an incredible club so it’s always going to be hard, but you have to thrive off the competition.”
