U.S. Rep. Seth Moulton is leaving the rest of the Massachusetts Democratic delegation in the dust when it comes to cozying up to the camera. He seems to be trying to put his ill-fated presidential run behind him by repeatedly running to CNN or public radio.
“This is not an opportunity to turn active duty Marines against the American people,” Moulton, an ex-Marine, told CNN this week about the president’s deployment of the military to quell the Los Angeles rioting. “And that’s what Trump is doing.”

The days of Joe Moakley seem to be more and more a relic of the past these days, especially when it comes to the North Shore congressman who has positioned himself as one of the top foes of President Trump.

Moulton has also taken on the Democratic Party, warning that it has “lost touch” with the average voter.
“It should have been the easiest election in our lifetime,” Moulton told a town hall crowd that was livestreamed in February. “So I think Democrats really do need to look ourselves in the mirror right now and say, ‘What are we doing wrong that by definition we have lost touch with a majority of Americans.’”
Moulton’s efforts to get his face in front of a camera may not be just for national attention.
His comments about transgender athletes whipped up a firestorm after the election, and some local Democrats are trying to find candidates to challenge him in a primary. Dan Koh, former chief of staff to Labor Secretary and former Boston Mayor Marty Walsh, reportedly has been making calls about running.
“I have two little girls, I don’t want them getting run over on a playing field by a male or formerly male athlete, but as a Democrat I’m supposed to be afraid to say that,” he said.
At least Moulton is willing to be interviewed on camera, which is more than you can say for his colleague, Ayanna Pressley, who just puts missives out on social media.
Moulton appears regularly on CNN, MSNBC, even Fox News, talking about the issues of the day, usually something to do with the latest Trump controversy.
He seemingly travels with a portable TV studio to beat his colleagues to the next appearance.

Moulton puts all of them to shame, leaving even up-and-coming Massachusetts congressman Jake Auchincloss in his wake.

The NASCAR Cup Series heads to the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez in Mexico City for the first time in the Viva Mexico 250 on June 15.
Sunday’s race will be the first international points Cup Series race in more than 60 years at a track that may be familiar to U.S. racing fans.
The Xfinity Series raced at the track each season from 2005-08, with Denny Hamlin and Kyle Busch among the race winners. It is also the same track that features Formula One cars in the annual Mexico City Grand Prix.
The stadium portion of the track is certainly memorable, as the track weaves through separate stands late in the lap.

SVG has three top-20 finishes in the last four races, showing some proof of concept in the NextGen car. At a new road course, SVG should be able to excel.

Elliott runs well on road courses, and he needs to find a way to get a win and solidify a playoff spot. He’ll do so in Mexico City.

Reddick has won three times on road courses and finished third at COTA earlier this season. That leaves him in a great spot with NASCAR heading to Mexico for the first time.
In case you’re wondering how much it cost Netflix to nab the script for Quentin Tarantino’s “The Adventures of Cliff Booth,” TheInSneider is reporting that the streamer gave QT a cool $20M for his words. David Fincher will be directing, and Brad Pitt is set to star. Still no word yet on whether Leonardo DiCaprio, who was offered $3M for a cameo role, will take part.
Although Tarantino, known for his distinctive writing style, penned the script, he chose not to direct this installment. Instead, he entrusted the project to Fincher, who is known for his precise and atmospheric filmmaking.
Pitt played a pivotal role in this collaboration. Impressed by aspects of Tarantino’s script, Pitt suggested that someone else direct it, leading to Fincher’s involvement. Tarantino, while usually directing his scripts, has in the past written for films directed by others, such as “True Romance” and “From Dusk till Dawn.” It surely helped that Tarantino was a big fan of Fincher’s last film, “The Killer,” which a source tells me, he believes to be a masterpiece.
Dropped in amongst the news that Yahya Abdul-Mateen II would be joining the upcoming Once Upon a Time in Hollywood 2, Jeff Sneider of The InSneider also reported that Quentin Tarantino was receiving a big payday for writing the script.
How much is Tarantino being paid for Once Upon a Time in Hollywood 2?
According to Sneider’s report, Tarantino is getting a whopping $20 million for the script, with Netflix also reportedly offering Leonardo DiCaprio “millions of dollars” to return and reprise his role as Rick Dalton in a cameo.
According to initial reports on the movie, David Fincher and Pitt will reunite to work on a sequel to Quentin Tarantino’s 2019 comedy drama, with Pitt reprising his role as stuntman Cliff Booth. Yahya Abdul-Mateen II is rumored to be playing a character “in the vein of Jim Brown, who famously ended his Hall of Fame football career early to focus on acting, starring in such hits as The Dirty Dozen.”
According to a separate report from The InSneider’s Jeff Sneider, Leonardo DiCaprio — who starred alongside Pitt in the original film — is in talks to join Pitt and Fincher and reprise his role as Rick Dalton. As for Margot Robbie, who played Sharon Tate in the movie, early reports mention that she is also “available” for the movie should Fincher come calling.
As for how this movie came together, The Playlist notes that the script for the film was something that his script for The Movie Critic (which was also rumored to involve Pitt as Booth in some capacity) evolved into over time. Tarantino also has a unique deal with Sony Pictures on the rights to various aspects of Once Upon a Time.
A release date for Once Upon a Time in Hollywood 2 has not yet been announced.

Kilmar Abrego Garcia, who is back in the U.S. after being mistakenly deported to his native El Salvador, is set to appear in court in Tennessee on Wednesday for a hearing to address the conditions of his release after a magistrate judge ordered that he should not be detained while he awaits a federal trial on human smuggling charges.
However, he is not expected to go free because U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement will likely take him into custody.
On Sunday, U.S. Magistrate Judge Barbara Holmes acknowledged that determining whether Abrego Garcia should be released is “little more than an academic exercise” because ICE will likely detain him due to an immigration detainer the government has on him.
Yet the judge said the government failed to prove there is a “serious risk” that Abrego Garcia will flee or that he will obstruct justice in his criminal case.
Abrego Garcia has been the subject of a prolonged legal battle since he was deported in March to El Salvador’s CECOT mega-prison — despite a 2019 court order barring his deportation to that country due to fear of persecution — after the Trump administration claimed the undocumented immigrant was a member of the criminal gang MS-13, which his family and attorneys deny.
The Trump administration, after arguing for nearly two months that it was unable to bring him back, returned him to the U.S. earlier this month to face charges of allegedly transporting undocumented migrants within the U.S. while he was living in Maryland. He has pleaded not guilty to the charges.
In her 51-page ruling, Judge Holmes raised questions about some of the evidence the government presented during a June 13 hearing — much of which she said consisted of “general statements, all double hearsay from two cooperating witnesses.”
Statements from the two witnesses about Abrego Garcia’s alleged MS-13 membership contradicted each other, Holmes said. One cooperating witness, according to the special agent who testified during the hearing, said that the Salvadoran “may belong to MS-13.” But a second witness, according to the special agent, said that in ten years of acquaintance with Abrego Garcia, there were no signs or markings, including tattoos, indicating that he is a member of MS-13.
“Even without discounting the weight of the testimony of the first and second male cooperators for the multiple layers of hearsay, their testimony and statements defy common sense,” Holmes said.
“The government alleges that Abrego is a longtime, well-known member of MS-13, which the Court would expect to be reflected in a criminal history, perhaps even of the kind of violent crimes and other criminal activity the government describes as typically associated with MS-13 gang membership,” Holmes said. “But Abrego has no reported criminal history of any kind.”
Statements from the cooperating witnesses introduced during the June 13 hearing accused Abrego Garcia of trafficking drugs and firearms and of abusing women and minors that he allegedly transported.
Six-time Emmy-winning actor Bryan Cranston, currently seen making elaborate basketball shots in The Phoenician Scheme, stopped by the Fly on the Wall podcast studio to gab with David Spade and Dana Carvey this week. Naturally, the conversation turned to when Cranston hosted Saturday Night Live back in 2010.
While SNL maintains a robust writing staff, the official policy is to allow, even encourage, the guest stars to pitch ideas for their appearances. (It’s tough coming up with new sketches week to week, so any help is welcome, we suppose.) This does not mean, however, that these suggestions automatically get greenlit, as Cranston soon learned.
“I just wanted to do anything. I had a couple pitches for them,” Cranston told the two SNL alumni. “I pitched ideas which were almost immediately shut down. I had a great pitch.”

“So: myself and a date and another couple. We can’t believe we got reservations for this restaurant. It’s supposed to be amazing. It’s called In the Sauce, and it’s like, wow. And this very snooty waiter comes in and says, ‘Are you ready?’ Can we see a menu? ‘No. We don’t give menus. We serve you food. You eat the food. You leave.’ You know? It’s like, oh, okay. Yes. Yes. Yes.”
So far, so good. We are primed for some comedy. What’s coming next?
“And they say,” Cranston went on, “‘It’s all about the sauce.’ So he puts down a crudite, and we dip it in the sauce, and it’s, like, oh my god. Just amazing. Crudite is taken away. Here comes the entree. You’re eating the entree. We’re eating. Oh my god, this sauce is absolutely insane. We’re overeating. We eat too much. We throw up.”

Cranston concluded, “It didn’t get past the Monday meeting,” before adding, “I truncated that pitch. It goes much longer.”
Heaven only knows where Cranston came up with such a repulsive idea, but it is possible he was inspired in some way by the legendary character Mr. Creosote from the 1983 film Monty Python’s The Meaning of Life. One could argue that this sketch is a pointed commentary about class inequality, or you could also say it was Python’s attempt to make everyone in the audience as sick to their stomach as possible.

While Colorado experiences earthquakes, they are typically smaller and away from populated areas.
The largest earthquake in Colorado in the past year was a 3.4 magnitude near Salida.
A 2.9 magnitude earthquake near Dacono provided a jarring wakeup for some Coloradans, with the shaking reported some 20 miles away into the Denver area.
The U.S. Geological Survey said the temblor had an epicenter about 3 miles southwest of Dacono.
The quake was not the largest in Colorado in 2025 — that honor goes to a 3.2 quake that rumbled about 21 miles west of Delta on April 3. But the Dacono quake likely stood out because it was relatively close to a large population center. Reports of people feeling the jolts stretched into Thornton and over to Erie.
While minor, the event was a reminder along the Front Range that Colorado can have earthquakes, and good preparation is important in the event of more significant shaking.
Are earthquakes common in Colorado?
Somewhat. There have been 20 reported in the past year on Earthquake Track, a website that logs seismic activity around the world. They’re just not that large and not usually close to cities.
The largest in the 365 days prior to the Dacono quake was a 3.4 earthquake near Salida on Oct. 26, 2024, according to the USGS.
Where are earthquakes likeliest to happen in Colorado?
Colorado has thousands of faults, but only five have been studied enough and determined to be active enough to end up on the USGS’s National Seismic Hazard Map. They are the Cheraw Fault in southeastern Colorado, Northern Sangre de Cristo Fault in south central Colorado, the Williams Fork Mountains Fault in southwestern Colorado, the Sawatch Fault in central Colorado and the Gore Range Frontal Fault, the closest major fault near the Denver area.
The Colorado Geological Survey says it is likely that more faults have similar potential but have not been studied closely enough. In all, it says, it is impossible currently to predict the time or location of the next big Colorado earthquake.
When was the last major earthquake in Colorado?
It has never had one recorded, based on seismologists’ definition of a major earthquake having a 7.0 or greater magnitude.
The strongest earthquake ever reported in Colorado was on Nov. 7, 1882, estimated as a 6.6 magnitude temblor. The epicenter has been difficult to pin down based on historical data, although estimates put it roughly 60 miles away from Denver in the northern Front Range.
The Denver area accidentally became one of the most seismically active areas in the country in the 1960s. An attempt to dispose of chemicals from the Rocky Mountain National Arsenal by injecting them deep into the ground is believed to have triggered several years of seismic instability that caused property damage throughout the area. More than 1,500 earthquakes emanated along the Derby Fault from 1961 to 1967, including multiple quakes of 5.0 or greater magnitude.
The largest quake recorded since then had a 5.3 magnitude on Aug. 22, 2011, with an epicenter about 15 miles southwest of Salida.
What should you do in an earthquake?
Shaking is usually very brief, meaning you don’t have a lot of time to react when an earthquake hits. Colorado Emergency Management has several recommendations of what to do when an earthquake starts:
When you feel and earthquake, drop and cover under a desk or sturdy table and hold on to it. If it moves, move with it.
Stay away from windows and objects like bookcases or display shelves that could fall.
If you are in a crowded public place, do not rush for an exit.
If you are in a theater or stadium, stay in your seat, protect your head with your arms or get under the seat. Do not leave until the shaking stops.
If you are outdoors, move to a clear area away from trees, signs, buildings or downed electrical wires and poles.
If you are on a sidewalk near a tall building, get into a building’s doorway or lobby to protect yourself from falling bricks, glass and other debris
If you are driving, slowly pull over to the side of the road and stop. Avoid overpasses, power lines and other hazards. Stay inside the vehicle until the shaking stops.
If you are in a wheelchair, stay in it. Move to safe cover if possible, lock your wheels and protect your head with your arms.

What can you do before an earthquake to prepare?
There are several steps you can take to prepare for an earthquake.
Anchor appliances and tall, heavy furniture that might fall.
Put latches on cabinet doors to keep contents from spilling out.
Establish an “out-of-area” contact family members should call if you are separated, particularly if local phone or internet service is not working well.
Keep emergency supplies in one place in the home.
What else can you do to prepare for an earthquake?
The Great Colorado ShakeOut, billed as the state’s largest earthquake drill, is scheduled for Oct. 16. It is a coordinated day for individuals, businesses, public spaces and more to practice what to do in the event of an earthquake. Interested parties can sign up at the event’s website.
