CLAY TOWNSHIP, Mich. – A helicopter crash-landed outside a waterfront restaurant in St. Clair County on Sunday afternoon.
The incident happened outside Cabana Blue in Clay Township, when a privately owned helicopter was trying to land on a vacant lot next to the restaurant along Anchor Bay.
Clay Township police said the cause of the crash is under investigation, but no injuries were reported.
Video of the crash was sent to Local 4 through the HelpDesk, you can watch it in the video player above.

With less than a minute remaining in the first half of Game 6 of the 2025 NBA Finals, Pascal Siakam emphatically gave the Indiana Pacers a 20-point lead.
Pacers guard Tyrese Haliburton stole Oklahoma City Thunder forward Jalen Williams’ pass and then led a fast break. Haliburton found a cutting Siakam with a no-look pass to set up the forward’s jam over Williams.
The dunk sent the fans at Gainbridge Fieldhouse into a frenzy and Williams nearly to the floor.
Siakam scored to end the first half, too, giving Indiana a 22-point lead while facing elimination. But it was the slam by Siakam, who helped the Toronto Raptors win the 2019 NBA title, that served as the highlight of the Pacers’ strong finish.
While the video showcases the memorable jab, sometimes a picture is worth a thousand words. Here’s a closer look at Siakam’s dunk.

How good did Saturday’s game feel? The New York Mets finally broke their seven game losing streak with a solid 11-4 win over the Philadelphia Phillies thanks to an offensive revelation. New York broke out the lumber to slug seven solo home runs against the Phillies, forcing a rubber game Sunday night.

David Peterson has tossed 86 2/3 innings this season with a 2.60 ERA, 3.07 FIP, 1.188 WHIP, and a 147 ERA+. Over three starts in June, he has pitched 23 innings with a 2.35 ERA, 2.42 FIP. The highlight, of course, was his complete game shutout against the Washington Nationals on June 11. He’s now pitched seven innings or more in four of his last five starts, and at least six innings in six of his last eight.
Peterson had a solid start against the Phillies in April, holding them to two runs over 5 1/3 innings from eight hits and a walk. The Phillies have the following career numbers against Peterson:

Jesús Luzardo has had an interesting season to say the least. Over 15 starts and 83 2/3 innings he has a 4.41 ERA, 2.88 FIP, 1.434 WHIP, and a 96 ERA+. Until the end of May, Luzardo was cruising, going deep into games, racking up strikeouts, while posting a 2.15 ERA. Then, over two starts, he allowed 20 earned runs over 5 2/3 innings. He bounced back against the Cubs on June 11, holding them one run, but struggled his last time out allowing four runs against the Marlins.
Luzardo has not faced the Mets yet this season, but last season, he held the Mets to two runs over 11 2/3 innings across two starts. The Mets have the following career stats against the former Miami Marlin:
Pete Alonso 2-22, HR, 10 K

Game Notes
Prior to Sunday’s game, the Mets sent down catcher Francisco Alvarez and recalled catcher Hayden Senger. Alvarez, despite homering Saturday, has struggled immensely this season, slashing .236/.319./.333 (.652 OPS).
Three Things To Watch For
Home runs. The Mets have hit nine home runs in this series, including seven of them Saturday night. It was enough to take the Mets from seventh in the majors back to sixth, which is where they’ve been for the last two seasons. They are also facing a pitcher tonight who has struggled in three of his last four starts.
Mets All-Time Home Run Leaderboard. Pete Alonso homered on Friday night, bringing him to 244 for his career, just eight behind Darryl Strawberry’s franchise leading 252. Brandon Nimmo homered twice Saturday night and Lindor homered once, bringing both of them to 125 career Mets home runs, which tied Lucas Duda for ninth on the all-time list. With Conforto at 132 career Mets home runs in eighth, the Mets’ top ten is going to look different at the end of this season.
Juan Soto. Sometimes Juan Soto does Juan Soto things. Saturday night, Soto went 4-for-5 at the plate with two home runs. Friday night, he went 0-for-2 with two walks. That means he’s already been on base six times this series.
CLAY TOWNSHIP, MICH (Fox 2) – People watched as a helicopter tried to land in an empty field next to Cabana Blue, a bar in Clay Township. The moment the chopper touched the ground, it bounced up and flipped on its side.
No one was reported injured, according to Clay Township police. The cause of the crash remains unknown.

It’s series finale time, and it’s rubber match time! The San Francisco Giants are hosting the Boston Red Sox, and a series win is up for grabs.
Taking the mound for the Giants is southpaw Robbie Ray, who will hope to build on his brilliant start to the year. In 15 starts this season, Ray is 8-2 with a 2.68 ERA, a 3.09 FIP, and 97 strikeouts against 35 walks in 87.1 innings. He gave up three runs in six innings against the Cleveland Guardians his last time out and wasn’t at his sharpest, so he’ll look for a little bit of a rebound.
On the other side is right-hander Lucas Giolito, who makes his 10th start after missing all of 2024 due to injury. He’s 3-1 on the year, with a 4.73 ERA, a 3.96 FIP, and 41 strikeouts to 15 walks in 45.2 innings. He was dominant his last time out, striking out 10 batters in six shutout innings against the Seattle Mariners.
Enjoy the game! Go Giants!

Real Madrid begin their FIFA Club World Cup campaign against Saudi Arabia’s Al Hilal – a team that have aspirations to stand alongside the European giants on the global stage.
For now, the Saudi Pro League club, after finishing second behind Al Ittihad this season, remain the up-and-comers.
That said, this tournament offers a chance not only for Al Hilal but for the country they represent to lay down a marker in their attempt to become one of the world’s most influential domestic leagues.
Al Jazeera takes a look at the meeting between two heavyweights in their respective rights.
What happened the last time Real Madrid and Al Hilal met?
This is only the second meeting between the clubs, but the first was an equally eye-catching affair.
It was the final of the 2023 FIFA Club World Cup – then in its smaller format prior to a rebrand.
Real won 5-3 in a thriller in Rabat, Morocco, as Vinicius Junior scored twice, while setting up another for Karim Benzema.
Al Hilal had beaten Brazilians Flamengo in the semifinals to become the first Saudi side to reach the showpiece finale.
Real beat Egypt’s Al Ahly 4-1 in their last-four match.

Is this Xabi Alonso’s debut as Real Madrid manager?
Yes. Alonso took over from Carlo Ancelotti, who was quickly appointed as coach of Brazil, at the end of last season.
The former Real midfielder had been in charge of Bayer Leverkusen, who he led to the German league title in his first season.
Leverkusen were a distant second to Bayern Munich, by 13 points, this year. But Alonso’s link to Real had long been established, especially with his positive brand of football – all while the pressure was mounting on Ancelotti as Real’s league and European defence disintegrated.

Will Alexander-Arnold start for Real Madrid?
Trent Alexander-Arnold is expected to make his debut for Real against Al Hilal.
The England defender was able to complete his move from Liverpool in time for the competition thanks to a special transfer window for clubs involved in the tournament.
Dani Carvajal, who usually fills the right-back spot that Alexander-Arnold could hold, has returned to training following an ACL injury, but this game comes too soon for a full comeback.
Why are Barcelona not at the Club World Cup with Real?
Despite Madrid’s difficult domestic season, albeit only finishing four points off top spot, they qualified for the tournament on the back of their Champions League and La Liga double-winning season two years ago.
Barcelona’s league title this season ended a run of three titles in five years for Real, where Barcelona only won one. Atletico Madrid, the other Spanish side at the Club World Cup, also lifted the La Liga trophy in that time and have a better UEFA coefficient ranking than Barca in the four-year qualification period.

How many Club World Cups have Real Madrid won?
Real Madrid’s win against Al Hilal in 2023 was their fifth Club World Cup in its various previous guises.
That doesn’t include lifting the inaugural FIFA Intercontinental Cup in December when Los Blancos beat Mexico’s Pachuca 3-0 in the final.
That competition in effect replaced the old Club World Cup, but the rebrand has separated the titles.
How did Al Hilal reach the Club World Cup?
The Saudi team have been among the top achievers in their domestic league, despite their second-place finish this season. But it was their 2021 AFC Champions League victory that ensured their Club World Cup place.
Pohang Steelers of South Korea were Al Hilal’s opponents in that final, which the latter won 2-0.
Real Madrid team news
Along with Alexander-Arnold, Dean Huijsen could also make his debut in the centre of defence following his move from Bournemouth.
Brazilian forward Endrick is the only injured absentee, while Antonio Rudiger, Eder Militao, Ferland Mendy and David Alaba have all returned from injury but are unlikely to be deemed ready to start.
Al Hilal team news
Joao Cancelo is the only injury for Al Hilal.
The former Manchester City, Barcelona and Juventus defender is still recovering from a hamstring injury.
Sergej Milinkovic-Savic and Joao Neves will bring a weight of experience to central midfield, while former Fulham striker Aleksandar Mitrovic will prove a fierce target man for Real’s defence to contend with.
Before Sunday’s series finale against the Kansas City Royals, the San Diego Padres activated All-Star centerfielder Jackson Merrill from the 7-day concussion injured list (OF Brandon Lockridge was optioned to Triple-A El Paso). Manager Mike Shildt shook up the lineup a bit, batting Merrill 2nd and dropping Luis Arraez to the cleanup spot.
But it would be a 7th-inning substitute that made the difference for the Friars. Jose Iglesias entered late and drove in all three runs, as well as participated in a run-saving relay in the top of the 9th inning, in a 3-2, series-clinching win over the Royals on Sunday afternoon at Petco Park.
People looking at the starting lineups and seeing Randy Vasquez and Seth Lugo on the mound might not have expected a pitcher’s duel but both right-handers got off to fantastic starts. Vasquez opened with 5.0 shutout innings while Lugo gave up a leadoff single to Fernando Tatis Jr. then proceeded to retire the next 18 Padres batters, including a rare strikeout of Arraez (his first punchout since May 25).
In the 6th, Vasquez finally flinched. He let a cutter leak out over the middle of the plate and future Hall of Famer Salvador Perez annihilated it, sending a rocket at 114 MPH into the left field seats to put Kansas City on top 2-0. It was the only blemish on Randy’s day.
An inning later Merrill finally ended Lugo’s reign of tyranny, ripping a curve ball down the right field line for a leadoff double and injecting some life into the sellout Petco Park crowd. Lugo stayed in to get Manny Machado to fly out before being replaced by southpaw Angel Zerpa, who was brought in specifically to get the left-handed hitting Arraez and Gavin Sheets out.
He got it half right. Arraez grounded out to shortstop but Zerpa walked Sheets on four pitches, then gave Xander Bogaerts a free pass to load the bases with two outs. Shildt sent in Jose Iglesias to pinch-hit for Jake Cronenworth. Royals manager Matt Quatraro countered by summoning righty Lucas Erceg.
Advantage, Iglesias. The veteran slapped a single to right field to bring home Merrill and Sheets, tying the game 2-2. Erceg was still out there in the 8th inning and started playing with fire, walking Tatis Jr. with one out and putting a pitch right down the middle to Merrill, who made a bid to play the hero role. Jackson launched a fly ball to deep right field that had the distance to leave the yard but rookie right fielder Jac Caglianone made the catch of the month, getting his glove high above the fence to bring the would-be go-ahead homer back in the yard.
Erceg got out of the inning with some more luck when Machado hit a rocket at 112 MPH right at shortstop Bobby Witt Jr., who made the catch more out of self-preservation than anything else.
Robert Suarez came on for the top of the 9th and nearly let the lead get away. The closer walked Drew Waters with two outs then Freddy Fermin lined one to the gap in right-centerfield. This time it was Merrill’s turn to prevent a run. The All-Star grabbed the ball on a hop, spun and hit Iglesias, who fired a relay throw home to get Waters trying to dive by catcher Elias Diaz. It’s the kind of relay play that they work on from the very start of Spring Training and it worked to perfection on Sunday in late June.
Arraez led off the bottom half with a single and went to 3rd on a Bogaerts double, setting up Iglesias once more. He wasted no time hitting a grounder up the middle, just far enough away from Witt to allow Arraez to slide home with the game-winning run and a 3-2 win, giving them their first series victory since the first weekend of June in Milwaukee.
The Padres start a 3-game set against Washington on Monday night in the East Village.
The Reds announced this morning that they have designated infielder Garrett Hampson for assignment. Outfielder Rece Hinds was recalled to the major league roster in a corresponding move. In addition, the Reds have pulled third baseman Jeimer Candelario off of his rehab assignment.
Hampson, 30, signed a big league deal with the Reds last month. He worked with Cincinnati in a bench role and appeared in just nine games across his Reds tenure, going 3-for-18 with a double, a walk, and six strikeouts while splitting time between second base, third base, shortstop, left field, and center field. That versatility is what’s kept Hampson on big league rosters for parts of eight MLB seasons. A third-round pick by the Rockies back in 2016, he made his big league debut in 2018 and hit well in a brief cup of coffee. It was a strong enough debut to put him on the map as a top-100 prospect headed into the 2019 season, but his offensive numbers did not hold up over a larger sample size. Hampson ultimately hit just .233/.292/.369 from 2019 to 2022 as a member of the Rockies before he was non-tendered during the 2022-23 offseason.
He signed with the Marlins after getting cut loose in Colorado and went on to enjoy the best season of his career in Miami. In 98 games with the club that year, Hampson thrived in a part-time role as he slashed a roughly league average .276/.349/.380 in 252 trips to the plate while playing all around the diamond in his typical utility capacity. That performance was enough to get him a big league deal from the Royals last year, but he’s unfortunately regressed to his previous light-hitting form since leaving Miami. In 140 games for Kansas City, Arizona, and Cincinnati the past two years, he’s hit just .218/.282/.280 and struck out at a 25.8% clip. The Reds will now have one week to either trade Hampson or try to pass him through outright waivers, though he has enough service time to reject an outright assignment in favor of free agency.
Hampson’s departure makes room on the roster for Hinds, who made his MLB debut last year. He made a big first impression last year when he crushed five homers in just 24 games, but has hit just .158/.200/.526 (86 wRC+) this year in seven big league games with ten strikeouts in 20 plate appearances. Overall, he’s a career .231/.296/.662 (150 wRC+) hitter despite a massive 36.6% strikeout rate in the majors. Hinds’s huge power numbers could give the Reds a threatening bench bat for their outfield mix going forward if he can rein in his contact issues a bit more going forward.
Cincinnati also announced today that Candelario has been pulled off his rehab assignment. The 31-year-old has been on the injured list since late April due to a back injury but had appeared in 15 games for Triple-A Louisville since beginning a rehab assignment on June 5. It’s unclear exactly what caused the Reds to pull Candelario off his rehab assignment, though it’s worth noting that he was approaching the 20-day limit for rehabbing position players that would’ve forced the club to activate him when reached. Candelario was hitting a brutal .113/.198/.213 across 91 plate appearances before being placed on the shelf.
Jake Paul’s next fight is just a few days away now and ahead of his comeback to the ring, he has made an honest admission about his opponent, Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.
On Saturday June 28, Jake Paul returns to the boxing ring for his first fight since his controversial win over boxing legend Mike Tyson last November.
Ahead of his fight against Julio Cesar Chavez Jr, ‘The Problem Child’ has indicated that he has a relatively hefty weight cut on his hands, revealing his current weight recently.
Throughout his career, Chavez Jr has fought some of the best fighters in the world including Canelo Alvarez, and has recorded some huge knockouts over his 62-fight career.

Jake Paul makes honest admission about where Chavez Jr ranks amongst opponents
Since making his mark on the professional boxing world in 2020, Paul has continued to divide the opinions of the fanbase, along with fellow professional fighters.
‘The Problem Child’ has been involved in several online feuds with some of combat sports’ biggest stars and at one point, he even offered Paddy Pimblett $1m to spar him after Pimblett accused him of fixing fights.
One of the reasons why the 28-year-old has continued to receive criticism is because of the level of opponent he picks to fight, which the majority of the time has included retired MMA fighters.
On the one occasion that Paul picked a fellow professional boxer near the same age as him, he was embarrassingly beaten by Tommy Fury.
Despite that, ahead of his clash against Chavez Jr on June 28, the internet sensation turned boxer has made an honest admission about where his opponent ranks amongst his former foes.
“I would say Chavez is most likely going to be the toughest opponent (I have faced yet), the most experienced, literally the most amount of fights out of all of my opponents,” Paul said during an interview with DAZN Boxing.
“He’s a former world champion which I haven’t faced a former boxing world champion other than Mike Tyson but obviously Mike was older, Chavez is still in his 30’s so I think this is gonna be the toughest one,” Paul continued.
Jake Paul rips into Canelo Alvarez and Terence Crawford ahead of super fight
Before booking a fight against Chavez Jr, Paul signed to fight Canelo Alvarez in a surprise super fight, however Turki Alalshikh stepped in at the eleventh hour and put a stop to the fight.
And with that, it was recently announced that Canelo and Crawford will clash in TKO Boxing’s first ever event, which will stream live on Netflix and will be promoted by Dana White.
Ahead of their clash, Canelo and Crawford sat together with Turki Alalshikh and enjoyed a meal together, which Paul took aim at and called ‘goofy’.
