Chelsea forward Cole Palmer’s recent struggles on the pitch are “a mental thing”, says boss Enzo Maresca.

The England international, 22, has not scored in 16 games – having netted 14 times in his first 23 games of the season.

Chelsea have slipped from second place to sixth – and out of the Champions League places – in that time.

But Palmer has had more shots than any other Premier League player during his goalless spell – 41 efforts.

“For sure it’s a mental thing, it’s not tactical or technical,” said Maresca.

“Cole is still the player who scored 14 goals in 20 games. The style is the same, the manager is the same, the club is the same. Nothing has changed around Cole. It’s just mentally in this moment.

“You can see he’s a little bit worried because he wants to help the team. You can see he’s struggling a bit on that. But he showed how happy he was after Fulham. It’s just a matter [of whether] we can win games. For sure he’s going to score goals.

“If you go back game by game, he had at least every game one or two chances, so it’s not about how the team is playing.”

Chelsea’s last home league game, a damaging 2-2 draw against Ipswich, was notable for the unrest among Chelsea’s supporters over their side’s ponderous play and manager Maresca’s future.

Their goal came from one such moment from centre-back Trevor Chalobah, who robbed Everton striker Beto in the centre circle, which allowed Enzo Fernandez to feed Jackson to score the winner.

Goalkeeper Sanchez has often been criticised during his time at Chelsea but his saves on Saturday could yet prove crucial.

Beto’s strike came from distance, with McNeil’s flicked towards the bottom left corner from close range with three minutes to play, but on both occasions the Spain international got down well to save.

He received embraces from his team-mates, while the full-time whistle was met by cheers tinged with relief in the stands.

Lucknow Super Giants look set to unleash their express pacer Mayank Yadav in the high-profile clash against Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 on Sunday. Mayank, who has been sidelined since the start of the season due to an injury, looks ready to be thrown in the mix, as per a social media post by the Lucknow franchise. LSG, who are placed 6th in the points table, are in desperate need of a win in order to resurrect their season. But, they are coming up against Mumbai Indians, a side that has won four matches on the trot.

LSG shared a video, hinting at Mayank Yadav’s on-field return. The post read: “Kal dikhega tabadtod andaz”, which translates to “Tomorrow, a fierce style will be seen.”

Placed fourth and sixth respectively, MI and LSG both have an impressive 10 points in their kitty and are only separated by the net run rate, having won five matches each and lost four in nine games so far.

While these two teams will battle for on-field supremacy at the Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai’s unrelenting heat and humidity will also play its part in testing the players’ readiness to give it all in adverse conditions.

For the visitors, a negative NRR of -0.054 is something they would be keen to improve while hoping that their skipper Rishabh Pant is able to get a big score under his belt.

Pant has managed a lowly 106 runs in nine matches so far this season while shuffling across batting positions to discover what works for him, but none of his efforts seem to have worked for the India wicketkeeper-batter.

As Pant grapples with the burden of carrying the highest price tag, the pressure that comes along with it and the immense responsibility of leading a new IPL team, his players have responded well so far.

The challenge, thus, will be greater and a different one for Pant’s visiting side since the hosts Mumbai Indians are familiar with the conditions and have been on a roll, having notched up four wins on the trot to move in the top half of the points table.

Mumbai are peaking just at the right time and are firing on all cylinders. The form of mainstays such as Rohit Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav, Trent Boult and even Hardik Pandya would pose a lot of threat to MI’s opponents going forward.

Travis and Jason were side-by-side for an outing at Wynn Las Vegas, where the two rubbed elbows with famous celebrities at a blackjack table. The most famous of which was Justin Timberlake.

Also seen in the video were former athletes like Jimmy Rollins, Andrew Whitworth, Ryan Fitzpatrick and Blake Griffin. Comedian Andrew Santino was there as well. The event was dubbed the “Invitational After Dark” and was a partnership between Wynn and a company called 8AM Golf.

The Kelces and Timberlake hit the links for the 8AM Invitational on Friday. It was a boys trip of sorts for Travis, who continues to move on from a crushing Super Bowl loss. He seems to be in great spirits once again, though this time it was without Swift.

In a video posted on the Instagram account of Justin Timberlake’s 8AM Golf brand, the two football stars could be seen playing a game of cards with the *NSYNC alum.

Filmed in Las Vegas ahead of the 2025 8AM Golf Invitational, which both brothers competed in, Travis, 35, could be seen joking and having fun at the card table as he sported a beige cardigan sweater, a black T-shirt, a black cap and glasses.

Meanwhile, Jason, 37, rocked a straw hat and a colorful patterned vest, while Timberlake, 44, was dressed up in a black suit jacket and sunglasses.

The Kansas City Chiefs star and the Philadelphia Eagles alum have enjoyed some downtime following the Chiefs’ loss at the Super Bowl in February. Travis wrapped up his 12th season with the team in February after they lost the championship game to the Philadelphia Eagles with his girlfriend Taylor Swift in attendance. Weeks later, he confirmed that he wouldn’t be retiring and instead planned to return to the field with the Chiefs in the fall.

Jason also has kept busy, welcoming his fourth child — a girl named Finnley “Finn” Anne — with his wife Kylie Kelce on April 1.

A source previously spoke to PEOPLE about how Travis has been intentional with his time off since the end of the latest NFL season, spending much of it with Swift, 35.

“They have been traveling nonstop and very much enjoy it,” the source said. “They are making the most of their time off together. They are hanging out with friends, too. It’s a special time for them.”

The insider said that the pop megastar and Travis are “very serious and in sync,” adding: “They value the same things. Right now, the focus is on private time out of the spotlight.”

The couple’s break from the spotlight comes after Swift completed her record-breaking Eras Tour in December 2024. Travis was unable to attend her final show in Vancouver, but he surprised her with an Eras Tour-themed wrap party where family and friends celebrated the triumphant run of shows.

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) – Saturday, cities across the country are participating in ‘Drug Takeback Day’, including multiple cities in Southern Colorado.

If you have unused or expired prescription drugs, you can dispose of them properly at one of four drop-off sites.

Without days like the National Take Back Day, leftover drugs can find their way into the wrong hands, like a child, an addict or a pet.

Thousands of people from around the United States are cleaning out their medicine cabinets and anonymously turning in their prescription drugs safely and properly.

If you’re planning on disposing of your expired medicines on Saturday, all you have to do is make sure they’re stored in a sealed bag or container at one of the drop-off sites.

Saturday, cities across the country are participating in ‘Drug Takeback Day’, including multiple cities in Southern Colorado.

The Colorado Springs Police Department told 11 News that other alternatives for getting rid of medications, such as throwing them away or flushing them down the toilet, can be hazardous to others or the environment.

“We don’t want people flushing it down the toilet because we don’t want to pollute our water supply,” Caitlin Ford with CSPD said, “so finding safe and appropriate ways of disposing of these prescription medications is really important.”
