Robert De Niro’s Trans Daughter Airyn Is Finally Sharing Her Story

0

In the corner of a rustic Williamsburg café, Airyn De Niro tells me about getting locs for the first time. She recites the rhythm of the stylist’s deft fingers working through her curls: Wash, comb, retwist. Wash, comb, retwist. During a visit to Annette Roche’s beloved New York City salon, Airyn’s tender scalp ached as she listened to Black women share gossip and make small talk. Hours passed before the loctician, a stylist specifically for locs, tapped her on the shoulder. Her hair was done at last. As she left the salon, she caught a glimpse of her reflection and did not look away.

The 29-year-old’s first appointment at a Black hair salon, which she made after seeing Halle Bailey’s locs in The Little Mermaid, marks a turning point in her journey toward liberatory gender expression. An aspiring model and voice actor studying to be a mental health counselor, Airyn is taking a break from her daily grind to speak with me about navigating her transition, the entertainment industry, and the media attention that comes with being Robert De Niro’s daughter. As she enters the café, a cascade of pink locs flows down her back.

“It just felt right,” Airyn says of her locs, which look as weightless and colorful as butterfly wings against her all-black fit. “I feel like I’m meant to be doing this.”

Airyn, a devoted Tyla stan and avid gamer, carries herself with the innate openness and generosity only a Libra could muster. When we sit down and start talking, she quickly assures me that I can ask her anything and before long, we’re talking like old friends, laughing, nodding, and complimenting each other’s looks (“You’re that girl!” “No, you’re that girl!”)

Aleck Venegas

In the same way that caterpillars are born knowing how to build a chrysalis in which to transform, the practice of looking and feeling beautiful is not a shallow pursuit for Airyn; it is her birthright. Black women have participated in hair braiding traditions since at least 3500 B.C. Today, the salon gives us a safe space to protect our hair, continue intergenerational beauty rituals, and define our sense of style and self-expression. For Airyn, this sacred cocoon of dryer heat and hair gel is a refuge from the scrutiny she faces in her daily life.

In the weeks following her visit to the loctician, paparazzi snapped a photo of Airyn visiting her dad at the Greenwich Hotel. The tabloids wasted no time in reporting on her “new look” with all the grace of a manosphere podcaster. “Robert De Niro’s nepo baby son shows off shock transformation with heels and pink hair in rare sighting,” the Daily Mail breathlessly reported on March 19, only twelve days before Trans Day of Visibility. Other outlets quickly followed suit, robbing Airyn of the opportunity to come out to the public on her own terms. The articles called her outfit — which included a knee brace for a dislocation injury she experienced in January — “edgy, rebellious,” and “barely recognizable” compared to her pre-transition public appearances. None of these outlets, Airyn says, reached out to her before publishing their articles.

“I actually didn’t find out about the Daily Mail thing until like a week after it was posted,” Airyn tells me in her characteristically soft, lilting soprano. Out of all that the tabloids got wrong, she says that two aspects of their reporting stood out to her: For one, the articles mostly regurgitated facts about her parents and twin brother. But they also called her a “nepo baby” despite her low profile and ongoing efforts to gain success independently. They were attention-grabbing headlines and nothing more, barely mentioning Airyn herself outside of her gender presentation or proximity to fame.

“Not only did they get information wrong about me… They just sort of reminded me that people really don’t know anything about me,” she says.

Travis Kelce unfollows Ryan Reynolds on Instagram after Taylor Swift’s friendship fallout with Blake Lively

Swifties smell bad blood.

Taylor Swift’s eagle-eyed fans noticed that Travis Kelce unfollowed Ryan Reynolds on Instagram over the weekend.

A Reddit user called out the social media shade Sunday, writing, “Yikes.”

Another Redditor shared screenshots showing that Kelce, 35, did follow Reynolds, 48, at one point but does not any longer.

The actor, however, still follows the Kansas City Chiefs tight end as of Monday morning.

“They started following each other a while ago and Travis liked his posts prior to the drama,” one fan wrote, referencing Reynolds’ wife, Blake Lively, recently dragging Swift into her and Justin Baldoni’s legal war.

Kelce’s rep did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.

Swifties first noticed Reynolds and Kelce following each other in August 2023, shortly after the NFL player began dating Swift.

While the “Cruel Summer” singer, 35, and Kelce were an item at the time, they did not go public with their romance for another month.

“The biggest giveaway when Taylor begins dating someone or ends things is when all of her friends, especially Ryan Reynolds makes edits to their IG following list,” one social media user noted at the time.

Reynolds has been friends with Swift for years, as Lively, 37, and the Grammy winner have been close since 2015.

Swift has even made headlines for referencing the couple’s children in multiple songs over the years.

Since her and Kelce’s love story began, the pair have double dated in New York City with Lively and Reynolds.

However, rumors swirled earlier this year that Swift and Lively experienced a friendship fallout amid the actress’s drama with her “It Ends With Us” co-star and director.

Lively sued Baldoni in December 2024, and when he filed a counter complaint the following month, he name-dropped Swift in his lawsuit.

He included a text from Lively referring to Reynolds and Swift as her “dragons” protecting her in the industry.

Page Six reported in February that Swift, who reportedly will be subpoenaed in the court case, felt “used” over the alleged message.

“Taylor really wishes Blake hadn’t dragged her into this whole situation,” a source told us, with another insisting the pop star was “not afraid” of being deposed.

We heard earlier this month that the “Gossip Girl” alum has issued a “genuine” and “heartfelt” apology to Swift, with the pair “mov[ing] forward” with “no hard feelings.”

Hint for today’s Strands puzzle

Today’s Strands theme is: I’ve got you covered.

If that doesn’t help you, here’s a clue: Hard protective outer part.

Clue words to unlock in-game hints

Your goal is to find hidden words that fit the puzzle’s theme. If you’re stuck, find any words you can. Solar company questioned by Adams County Board and Ursa residents

0

QUINCY (WGEM) – Adams County Board members and Ursa residents questioned Ursa Creek Solar about their solar farm project.

Last week, Ursa residents met with Ursa Creek Solar about a proposed solar farm project located in the village. Thursday night, a public hearing was held at the Adams County Courthouse where the Adams County Board questioned the company.

“We follow the statute. We are regulated by the solar sighting statute,” Company representative Desiree Noisette explained.

The Adams County Board questioned the company representatives about a multitude of topics having to do with their project. Following the cross examination, several Ursa residents voiced their concerns with the project and pleaded with the board to deny the company from gaining the ability to build the farm.

“Please don’t think of this as a ‘check the box’ application. Don’t consider the other solar farms you may have approved in Adams County. This one is different,” Ursa resident Tim Hightower said.

One of the main concerns that Ursa residents have with the project is the potential property value decline that could occur if the farm is built. Ursa Creek Solar brought in a real estate appraiser who said that in similar projects, no value decline took place.

Another major concern was with the property owner who struck a deal with Ursa Creek Solar to build on their property. Tim Hightower explained the city had not been notified of the deal by the farm owners.

The meeting lasted more than four hours and ended after 10 p.m.

Knicks rally behind Tom Thibodeau after his ugly ranking in new ‘worst coach’ poll

0

Tom Thibodeau’s players went to bat for him.

He finished sixth for “worst coach” in a recent poll of players across the league by The Athletic and entered the postseason with heavy pressure after the Knicks made two blockbuster trades to acquire Karl-Anthony Towns and Mikal Bridges and gave OG Anunoby the biggest contract in franchise history over the offseason.

Thibodeau received plenty of criticism during an up-and-down regular season, but he has the Knicks one win away from the second round of the playoffs.

His players are raving about him, particularly in how he sets them up down the stretch.

And they disagree with much of the popular discourse about him.

“He does a lot for our team and there’s a lot of people who don’t give him that credit, but I’m happy to say he puts us in position where we’re prepared, we’re ready, and he lets us play,” Jalen Brunson said. “He lets us play for sure. He lets us talk things out. He talks things out, too. But for the most part, he’s gonna let us play, he’s gonna let us figure it out, and we’re gonna have to figure it out together. He puts us in position to be successful, and that’s how he’s been since I’ve known him.”

Tom Thibodeau speaks with his players on the bench during first quarter on April 24, 2025. Charles Wenzelberg/New York Post

The Knicks have dominated fourth quarters throughout this first-round series against the Pistons, which saved them in Games 1 and 4. They credit Thibodeau for that development.

They are averaging 30.5 points in the fourth quarter, second most among all playoff teams. They are shooting 54.2 percent from the field in the fourth quarter, third best among playoff teams.

They’re committing just 2.3 turnovers in the fourth quarter, tied for second best among playoff teams. That all has helped them outscore opponents by an average of 5.3 points in the fourth quarter, fifth best among playoff teams.

When the Knicks need to operate at their best, Thibodeau has them clicking.

“Making sure that we’re grounded,” Josh Hart said. “Making sure that we’re valuing every possession. We’re always, I feel like, one of the best-prepared teams in the league. That’s a credit to him and his philosophy. Now we’ve gotta roll that into Game 5.”

Knicks head coach Tom Thibodeau argues with the ref in the 4th quarter.

Many had speculated Thibodeau’s job could be in jeopardy if they lose to the Pistons in the first round. Or even if they beat the Pistons and are uncompetitive against the Celtics in the second round.

None of that bothers Thibodeau.

“To me, it’s understanding what goes into winning,” Thibodeau said. “I think for the media and social media, it’s to add all those other things into it. For us, we don’t get lost in that stuff because that stuff doesn’t matter. What matters is how you prepare yourself to win and understand what goes into winning. If you do that, you’ll enhance your chances of winning.”

Mutua Madrid Open Predictions for Tuesday, April 29th

The top players in the world are in Madrid for a pair of 1000-level events this week, as it’s time for the 2025 Mutua Madrid Open. I’ll be posting daily articles with my best bets for the action at the Caja Magica, so come back to VSiN if you’re looking to bet on some tennis. Also, make sure you’re checking out the picks page for all of my action for smaller tournaments and Challengers.

We’re entering the most exciting portion of the tennis calendar, as there are several 1000-level events in the coming weeks. Those then flow into the majors, so everything heats up pretty quickly. We’ll be covering all of them, whether that’s with my columns or Gill Alexander’s excellent work on A Numbers Game. That said, if you like tennis, now is the time to consider a VSiN Pro subscription! It’s only $59 to get access to everything until August 1st!

With all of that in mind, check out my Mutua Madrid Open best bets for Monday, April 28th and Tuesday, April 29th.

MORE: Check out our Pro Picks page for everything our experts are betting!

NOTE: Due to power outages in Spain, most of Monday’s matches were moved to Tuesday. That said, I added one new pick to my Monday article and changed the title. Outside of the Gauff/Keys parlay, everything in here is still playable.

Belinda Bencic vs. Coco Gauff
Donna Vekic vs. Madison Keys

It’s not often that I actually back Gauff. I did ride the wave during her heater to end the 2024 season. When she’s serving well and hitting her forehand with conviction, she’s pretty close to unbeatable. However, we haven’t seen that version of Gauff in a long time. At the moment, her forehand is leaky and her double fault numbers are high. Despite that, I do think Gauff will take care of business against Bencic in Madrid. I know we saw Gauff lose to Bencic in Indian Wells this year, but that was a completely different setting. Bencic is a much better hard-court player than she is a clay-court player, as she doesn’t move quite as well on the dirt. And the small difference in level between the two surfaces could make all the difference in the world here. Gauff is just such a good defender along the baseline, so she’s going to ask a ton of questions of Bencic’s mobility. And Gauff has looked dialed in as a server in Madrid thus far. If you throw out her first set of the tournament — when she was bageled by Dayana Yastremska — the last four sets have been really strong. And for as much as I have enjoyed backing Bencic this year, I’m not sure her best tennis is good enough for Gauff’s B-game.

To get a better price on Gauff, I’m pairing her moneyline with Keys’ moneyline. I actually had Vekic to cover the game spread against Emma Navarro on Saturday, so I don’t have many bad things to say about her. But I will note that it was really more of a Navarro fade than a play on Vekic. And realistically, as long as Keys isn’t spraying unforced errors, she should win this match. Keys’ serve is just such a weapon on all surfaces, and the conditions in Madrid bring out the best in her baseline ability. Her power is still a huge asset, but she has a little more time to track shots down. All of that will be hard for Vekic to deal with.

PARLAY: Gauff ML & Keys ML (-105 – 1.5 units)

Gabriel Diallo vs. Cameron Norrie
Alexandre Muller vs. Frances Tiafoe

This parlay calls for Diallo to win a set against Norrie, plus Tiafoe to win a set against Muller. In the first match, I’m a little nervous about Diallo’s mediocre net game and overall lack of previous clay-court success. But in the end, this is a very good server going against a shaky one. Norrie is still a player that is fun to watch, as he’s one of the toughest competitors in the sport. But his hold percentage is down at 76.1% in 2025. It was up in the 80s when he was a mainstay in the Top 30 in the ATP rankings. Norrie has also dropped off a little as a returner. So, when he plays against guys that can hold easily, he’s extremely vulnerable. That said, I’m not sure Diallo will win this outright, but I do think he’ll at least force a decider.

With the second match, I’m putting some trust in Tiafoe to avoid a straight-set loss, which isn’t asking a lot considering it’s a match he can win. Tiafoe beat Muller 6-4, 6-2 when the two met in Acapulco earlier in the year. Now, that result should be taken with a grain of salt, as Muller was coming off a grueling week. But I’m just not sure Muller can win this match in straights. Tiafoe is a better server and has more firepower from the baseline. He has also looked extremely motivated on the European clay this year. And when Tiafoe is motivated, he’s a top-15 player.

PARLAY: Diallo +1.5 Sets & Tiafoe +1.5 Sets (-123 – 1.5 units)

Diana Shnaider vs. Iga Swiatek

Swiatek’s 2025 campaign would look incredible for most players, but her 22–7 record so far marks a step down from her dominant previous seasons, when she routinely won over 85% of her matches and collected multiple trophies. The aura of invincibility around her has faded, and powerful baseliners — especially in quicker conditions — have started to trouble her. With clay season underway, there’s hope she’ll turn things around, but winning back-to-back titles in Madrid could prove tricky. Shnaider, despite her own slow start to 2025, has found her groove in Madrid and has the aggressive game reminiscent of Jelena Ostapenko — one of the few players who consistently disrupts Swiatek’s rhythm.

Shnaider’s ability to take the ball early and go for winners could force Swiatek out of her comfort zone, especially with Madrid’s altitude. While Swiatek’s defensive skills and experience should see her through, the 5.5-game handicap feels generous given the matchup. Even if Swiatek wins in straight sets, Shnaider’s firepower might keep things close. And if the southpaw snatches a set, covering that spread becomes even more likely. This is arguably the best clay-court event for opponents to challenge Swiatek, and Shnaider has the tools to make her sweat.

Pick: Shnaider +5.5 Games (-112)

Taylor Fritz vs. Casper Ruud

Ruud’s clay-court credentials are well established, but the unique conditions in Madrid — where altitude makes play faster — have limited his success at the Mutua Madrid Open. While Ruud is a two-time French Open finalist and thrives on traditional, slower clay, Madrid rewards powerful serving and aggressive baseline play. That’s why I like Fritz in this Round of 16 matchup, especially at plus-money odds. Fritz has shown he can beat Ruud in quicker conditions, as seen at last year’s US Open, and Madrid’s courts should suit his big serve and flatter ground strokes. Ruud’s win over Fritz at the French Open was hard-fought, but those were conditions that favored the Norwegian.

Fritz’s serve has been a major weapon, with a 90.1% hold rate over the last year, second only to Jannik Sinner, and still an impressive 86.4% on clay — both better than Ruud’s marks. Fritz’s ability to use his length to get returns back in play should serve him well in this match. Also, Ruud’s discomfort with drop shots is something to keep an eye on. He is sometimes unwilling to hit those shots, but that’s a way to exploit Fritz’s mediocre transition game. Also, Ruud’s straight-set loss to Felix Auger-Aliassime in Madrid last year is something that should make Fritz confident. Fritz can do a lot of what Auger-Aliassime can, but the American is just better at most of it.

Pick: Fritz ML (+115 – 1.5 units)

Hints, Spangram And Answers For Tuesday, April 29th

Looking for Monday’s Strands hints, spangram and answers? You can find them here:

ForbesNYT ‘Strands’ Today: Hints, Spangram And Answers For Monday, April 28th

Well it’s Tuesday, a day named for the god Tyr from German and Norse mythology. A god of war. That’s why most wars start on Tuesdays. Just kidding! I’m pretty sure any day is as good as another when it comes to war. Or as bad, as the case may be. But we’re not here for gods or war, we’re here to uncover words. Let’s solve today’s Strands, shall we?

Strands is the newest game in the New York Times’ stable of puzzle games. It’s a fun twist on classic word search games. Every day we’re given a new theme and then tasked with uncovering all the words on the grid that fit that theme, including a spangram that spans two sides of the board. One of these words is the spangram which crosses from one side of the grid to another and reveals even more about the day’s theme.

Spoilers ahead.

Today’s Strands Hints

Here are some hints to help you solve today’s grid.

Today’s Theme: I’ve got you covered

Hint: Turtles and the like.

Clue: But also peanuts.

Here are the first two letters of each word:

Remember, spoilers ahead!

What Are Today’s Strands Answers?

Today’s spangram is: SHELLS

Here’s the full list of words:

  • TORTOISE
  • NAUTILUS
  • TACO
  • WALNUT
  • NUCLEUS
  • ARMADILLO

Here’s the completed Strands grid:

Today’s Strands Breakdown

Other than the pretty easy spangram—SHELLS—this was a tricky Strands. For one thing, it was kind of a leap to get from “I’ve got you covered” to “things with shells” especially when some words were NUCLEUS or NAUTILUS. Some of these are food items, like TACO or WALNUT, while others, like ARMADILLO and TORTOISE are animals. I like a good, challenging Strands, however, so this was nice.

Dozens of African migrants killed in US strike, Houthis say

0

David Gritten & Jaroslav Lukiv

BBC News

Reuters Rescuers carry an injured migrant after a strike on a detention centre, in Saada, Yemen (28 April 2025)Reuters

Houthi-run media say the detention centre in Saada was holding African migrants

At least 68 African migrants have been killed in a US air strike on a detention centre in Houthi-controlled north-western Yemen, the armed group’s TV channel says.

Al Masirah reported that another 47 migrants were injured, most of them critically, when the centre in Saada province was bombed. It posted graphic footage showing multiple bodies covered in the rubble of a destroyed building.

A US defence official said the US military’s Central Command was aware of the claims of civilian casualties.

The strike came hours after Central Command announced its forces had hit more than 800 targets since President Donald Trump ordered an intensification of the air campaign against the Houthis on 15 March.

It said the strikes had “killed hundreds of Houthi fighters and numerous Houthi leaders”, including senior officials overseeing missile and drone programmes.

Houthi-run authorities have said the strikes have killed dozens of civilians, but they have reported few casualties among the group’s members.

The migrant detention centre in Saada was reportedly holding 115 Africans when it was hit four times shortly before 05:00 local time (02:00 GMT) on Monday, according to Al Masirah.

The casualty reports could not be immediately verified, but Al Masirah’s videos showed first responders recovering the bodies of at least a dozen men among pieces of concrete and metal debris on the floor of a large building with partially destroyed walls and no roof.

At a local hospital, another injured man told Al Masirah: “The strike hit us while we were sleeping, that’s it.”

Following a visit to the scene, the chairman of the Somali community in Yemen, Ibrahim Cabdulqaadir Macallin, told the BBC: “It was tragic and horrific… I saw burnt people. We couldn’t recognise some of the bodies we saw.”

He said the number of Somali migrants who were killed was “very small” because a group had been removed from the detention centre three days earlier, and that the majority of the detainees were Ethiopians.

He also said that the facility was in an “open area” and “not near any military base”.

The Houthi-run interior ministry condemned what it called the “deliberate bombing” of the facility and said it constituted a “war crime”.

The US defence official said Central Command took the claims of civilian casualties very seriously, and that it was currently conducting a battle-damage assessment and inquiry into them.

The UN’s International Organisation for Migration (IOM) said it was “deeply saddened by the reports of the tragic loss of life in Saada”.

“While IOM has not been operating at this facility, we remain committed to closely monitoring the situation and stand ready to offer support as needed,” it added.

“We call on all parties to the conflict to prioritize the protection of civilians and ensure full respect for international laws.”

The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) said teams from the Yemen Red Crescent Society provided lifesaving support by evacuating the wounded to hospitals and were ensuring a dignified management of the dead.

Reuters Yemeni first responders inspect a migrant detention centre in Saada, northern Yemen, reportedly destroyed in a US air strike on 28 April 2025Reuters

The Houthi-run interior ministry said the strike amounted to a “war crime”

In 2022, at least 66 people were reportedly killed when the Saudi-led coalition supporting Yemen’s government struck a pre-trial detention facility only 100m (330ft) away from the location of Monday’s attack.

Al Masirah also reported that another eight people had been killed in overnight US air strikes in the Houthi-controlled capital, Sanaa.

The statement put out by Centcom late on Sunday said the US had “intentionally limited disclosing details of our ongoing or future operations” in order to “preserve operational security”.

Despite the devastation and humanitarian crisis in Yemen caused by 11 years of conflict, migrants continue to arrive in the country by boat from the Horn of Africa, motivated by political and economic instability, droughts and other extreme weather events in their own countries.

Most of them are intending to cross into neighbouring Saudi Arabia to find work. Instead, they face exploitation, detention, violence, and dangerous journeys through active conflict zones, according to the IOM.

In 2024 alone, it says, almost 60,900 migrants arrived in the country, often with no means to survive. The majority of them are Ethiopians and Somalis.

Thousands of migrants are thought to be held in detention centres like the one in Saada, but there are no official statistics from the Houthi-run authorities. Rights groups say detainees experience dire conditions, including overcrowding, abuse and poor sanitation.

Earlier this month, the Houthi-run government said a series of US air strikes on the Ras Isa oil terminal on the Red Sea coast killed at least 74 people and wounded 171 others. It said the terminal was a civilian facility and that the strikes constituted a “war crime”.

Centcom said the attack destroyed the ability of Ras Isa to accept fuel and that it would “begin to impact Houthi ability to not only conduct operations, but also to generate millions of dollars in revenue for their terror activities”.

Reuters Injured African migrants lie on hospital beds after a reported US strike on a detention centre in Saada, northern Yemen, on 28 April 2025Reuters

Houthi-run media said 47 African migrants were injured, many of them seriously

Last month, Trump ordered large-scale strikes on areas controlled by the Houthis and threatened that they would be “completely annihilated”. He also warned Iran not to arm the group – something it has repeatedly denied doing.

On Sunday, Centcom said it would “continue to ratchet up the pressure until the objective is met, which remains the restoration of freedom of navigation and American deterrence in the region”.

On Monday evening, the Houthis’ military spokesman said its forces had retaliated for the US “aggression and massacres against civilians” by targeting the USS Harry S Truman aircraft carrier battle group with “a number of cruise and ballistic missiles and drones”.

He also said the group had launched a drone towards the southern Israeli city of Ashkelon. Israel’s military announced earlier that it had intercepted a missile launched from Yemen.

Since November 2023, the Houthis have targeted dozens of merchant vessels with missiles, drones and small boat attacks in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden. They have sunk two vessels, seized a third, and killed four crew members.

The Houthis have said they are acting in support of the Palestinians in the war between Israel and Hamas in Gaza, and have claimed – often falsely – that they are targeting ships only linked to Israel, the US or the UK.

The Houthis were not deterred by the deployment of Western warships in the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden to protect merchant vessels last year, or by multiple rounds of US strikes on military targets ordered by former President Joe Biden.

After taking office in January, Trump redesignated the Houthis as a “Foreign Terrorist Organisation” – a status the Biden administration had removed due to what it said was the need to mitigate the country’s humanitarian crisis.

Yemen has been devastated by a civil war, which escalated in 2015 when the Houthis seized control of the country’s north-west from the internationally-recognised government, and a Saudi-led coalition supported by the US intervened in an effort to restore its rule.

The fighting has reportedly left more than 150,000 people dead and triggered a humanitarian disaster, with 4.8 million people displaced and 19.5 million – half of the population – in need of some form of aid.

  • Miranda Lambert revealed a new tattoo on her arm
  • The horseshoe tattoo has a special meaning for the country artist
  • Lambert has a collection of tattoos, including script on her arm and an arrow on her hand

Miranda Lambert is showing off some new ink.

In a new photo for her lifestyle brand, Idyllwind, shared on Thursday, April 24, the country star, 41, is seen crouched down on a black-and-white tiled floor wearing an all-denim ensemble. Her long blonde hair is styled into voluminous curls and she tops off the look with some turquoise jewelry.

With her forearm resting on her knee, Lambert’s new tattoo — a small horseshoe near her wrist — is visible. Eagle-eyed fans immediately spotted the ink.

“Obsessed with the new tattoo,” one user commented.

Another shared, “Okay so can we all just get matching tattoos (and jeans) at this point?!”

In March, Lambert’s tattoo artist Christina Nguyen took to Instagram to share the new work, revealing the special meaning behind it. The artist shared a close-up look at the design, which features a heart and two star-like shapes inside the horseshoe.

“Tiny lil horseshoe for @mirandalambert to represent her cutie horses🐴💕,” Nguyen wrote in the post’s caption.

Lambert has a handful of other tattoos, including script along her forearm and an arrow on the side of her hand.

During a performance in Nashville in 2016, Lambert shared that some of her tattoos were a testament to the “s—–” year she had in 2015.

“So this song, I don’t know if I can do it without crying,” she told the crowd. “[Guitarist] Scotty Wray has been with me since I was 17. For a long time he was my band. We have been through everything together, good and bad. We both went through a really s—–2015 and we have the tattoos to prove it. He wrote a song a long time ago called ‘Scars.’ I never felt like I could sing it ’til now.”

A proud horse owner, the country star told PEOPLE in 2020 that the “loves of my life are my horses.” In 2024, she welcomed a new horse named Cool, who she called “one of the sweetest horses I’ve ever met.”

“He does it all with grace and patience and has already taught me so much. In the last few months, I’ve picked up the hobby of mounted shooting, and in the process, I’ve made some amazing new friends including this handsome fella,” Lambert shared on Instagram.
