TALLAHASSEE, FLA. – Cam Cannarella’s two-out triple in the eighth inning scored two runs to tie the score, then he scored on the play on an error to give the Tigers the lead in No. 2 Clemson’s 6-3 victory over No. 5 Florida State at Dick Howser Stadium in a game that started on Saturday night and concluded on Sunday afternoon. The Tigers, who evened the series 1-1, improved to 37-11 overall and 14-9 in the ACC. The Seminoles dropped to 32-10 overall and 13-7 in ACC play.
Jacob Jarrell executed a suicide squeeze bunt to score the game’s first run in the top of the fifth inning. Nathan Cmeyla led off the bottom of the fifth inning with a homer, then Myles Bailey ripped a run-scoring double to give the Seminoles the lead. Gage Harrelson led off the seventh inning with a homer to up Florida State’s lead to 3-1.
In the top of the eighth inning, Cannarella belted a two-out, two-run triple to tie the score, then he scored on the play on an error to give the Tigers a 4-3 lead. It was the first error committed by a Tiger opponent in the last five games. Inclement weather forced play to be suspended with one out and a runner on first base in the bottom of the eighth inning.
When play resumed on Sunday, the Tigers stranded two Seminole runners on base in the eighth inning. In the ninth inning, a run scored on an error on Dominic Listi’s double, then Listi scored on Jarrell’s sacrifice fly.
Chance Fitzgerald (4-0) earned the win in relief, while Reed Garris pitched 1.2 innings to record his third save of the year. Seminole starter Joey Volini (8-2) suffered the loss, as he gave up five hits, four runs (three earned) and two walks with seven strikeouts in 8.0 innings pitched.
The series concludes Sunday at 2:15 p.m. on ACC Network Extra.
DENVER, Colorado: Malcolm Stewart launched to a great start and dominated Heat 1 while Chase Sexton had a more adventurous path to the win of Heat 2.
Sexton was third during Lap 1 before passing Justin Cooper later on that same circuit. Sexton settled into a fast pace and passed Webb in the whoops, where he predicted he would be strongest.

On Saturday, May 3, the actress, 27, partied with Patrick Schwarzenegger and MGK (Machine Gun Kelly) at the grand opening of the Palm Tree Beach Club in Las Vegas.
Documenting their time together with a sweet group photo shared on her Instagram Stories, Sweeney could be seen posing in between the actors at the bash, which marked the second of a three-day opening weekend celebration.
In the snap, Sweeney smiled with her hands on her hips, as MGK, 35, threw up a peace sign on her left and Schwarzenegger, 31, smiled on her right.

The Euphoria star also shared a clip of herself flipping her hair while standing in the crowd of the opening event, which featured a DJ set from Kygo.
At one point, Sweeney and Schwarzenegger even joined the DJ behind his booth — a moment he also documented with a post on Instagram.
Sweeney was also spotted chatting one-on-one with MGK, per photos shared on X. Later in the evening, thestars — sans the “My Ex’s Best Friend” musician — were also spotted chatting with other guests at the Vegas celebration, matching in their denim-on-denim looks and white undershirts.
MGK and Sweeney are not only longtime pals, they have also crossed paths professionally before. Both starred in 2019’s Big Time Adolescence, and, more recently, Sweeney had a starring role in Downfalls High, the rapper’s 2021 film with Mod Sun.
As for Schwarzenegger, both he and Sweeney are known for their work in The White Lotus’ third and first seasons, respectively.

About a month after news of her breakup broke, the busy star — who currently has several film projects in the works, plus a new season of Euphoria — was spotted with Davino in April, though a source told PEOPLE that despite still being in touch, the pair have not reconciled.
“This wasn’t just a relationship. This was two people living together and planning a future,” the source told PEOPLE of the exes’ post-split reunion. “They still have things to figure out.”
“Sydney’s mind is very much on work though,” the insider added. “She’s doing well.”
Winnipeg Jets forward Mark Scheifele will not play Sunday in Game 7 against the St. Louis Blues, head coach Scott Arniel told reporters after the morning skate.
He did not participated in the team’s gameday session. Defenceman Logan Stanley was also absent from the skate.
Scheifele took a pair of big hits and incurred an undisclosed injury during Game 5 of the series and sat out Game 6. Arniel designated Scheifele as a game-time decision a day earlier. The veteran forward skated in a tracksuit on Saturday and Arniel said he was feeling better than he was on Friday.
Scheifele played seven shifts totaling 8:05 of ice time before he left Game 5 in the first period and did not return. The 32-year-old did not travel to St. Louis for Game 6 as the Jets were defeated 5-2.
Scheifele has two goals and four assists for six points in five games during the series. He was second in team scoring during the regular season, recording 39 goals and 87 points in 82 games.
Meanwhile, Stanley played 9:28 in Friday’s Game 6, recording three hits and one blocked shot in 15 shifts. He has averaged 11:38 of ice time per game in five games during the series.
The winner of Sunday’s Game 7 will advance to play the Dallas Stars in the second round, who defeated the Colorado Avalanche in Game 7 of their opening-round series Saturday night.

The Los Angeles Dodgers will look for the series sweep when they battle the Atlanta Braves on Sunday Night Baseball. Los Angeles earned a 2-1 win on Friday before outlasting Atlanta 10-3 in a rain-delayed game on Saturday. The Dodgers (23-10), who lead the National League West, have won seven in a row. The Braves (14-18), who are third in the NL East, have dropped three straight.
First pitch from Truist Park in Atlanta is set for 7:10 p.m. ET. The model projects a 47.2% chance that the teams will combine for fewer runs than nine. In five of the last nine matchups, the under has prevailed, including in Friday’s matchup. Right-hander Dustin May (1-1, 3.95 ERA) will take the hill for Los Angeles. He has allowed three earned runs or fewer in four of his five starts this season. Atlanta will counter with right-handed pitcher Bryce Elder (1-1, 5.33 ERA). He is coming off a 6-3 win at Colorado on Monday, pitching six innings and allowing five hits, three earned runs and two walks with four strikeouts. He got a no-decision in a 4-1 win over St. Louis on April 23, pitching six innings and allowing five hits, one earned run and three walks, while striking out two.
The model projects May will allow 2.1 earned runs, while Los Angeles relievers will combine to give up just 1.6 earned runs. Elder, meanwhile, will allow 2.7 runs, with Atlanta relievers relinquishing just 1.2 earned runs. The model is projecting 9.1 combined runs.
Braves pitcher Bryce Elder over 3.5 strikeouts (-155)
Atlanta pitcher Bryce Elder has recorded at least four strikeouts in two starts this season, including in his last outing against the Colorado Rockies. Couple that with the fact that the Dodgers average 8.2 strikeouts per game, and the model is projecting Elder to register 4.2 strikeouts on Sunday. DraftKings Sportsbook has this prop at -155.

In the bold travel competition series, Europe is turned into a real-life gameboard as complete strangers are invited to participate in the trip of a lifetime and the ultimate geo-guessing contest. These adventurous players will traverse each country on a blacked-out “Destination X” bus with the goal of figuring out where the “X” they are each week. In each episode, the players disembark the bus to visit unique and unfamiliar tourist attractions that have been gamified into experiential challenges. They will need to rely on their knowledge of pop culture, history, geography and observational skills to win clues to their current location and earn an all-important advantage. Contestants must tap into their own personal expertise, identify hidden clues that are disguised as artifacts and discern intentional misdirects from competitors to ultimately determine their whereabouts.

Gamemaster Jeffrey Dean Morgan has a few tricks up his sleeve, from mind games and pivotal ultimatums to introducing two familiar faces — JaNa Craig (“Love Island”) and Peter Weber (“The Bachelor,” “The Traitors”), who hop on the adventure bus and change the trajectory of the game. At the end of each episode, designated contestants must enter the Map Room and place their X on the map to indicate where in the world they think they are. The furthest from the actual location is sent packing. The final player standing at the end of the tour will find Jeffrey at the ultimate Destination X and win $250,000.
Each player’s strategic gameplay is tested as they eat, sleep and travel together through Europe’s most desirable locations on the “Destination X” bus. The players each share an unmistakable sense of wanderlust, but with constantly shifting alliances and unexpected adversaries, they’re forced to discover who they can trust, whose strengths will take them the farthest, and who to send to the Map Room.

Before the Denver Nuggets obliterated the Los Angeles Clippers in a truly stunning and anticlimactic series finale, the first round’s most entertaining matchup gave us everything two legitimate championship contenders had to offer. There were instant crunch-time classics, invincible individual performances, significant adjustments, major comebacks, and, notably, several stretches where it looked like the Clippers were in the driver’s seat.
Then Game 7 happened. Midway through the third quarter, when the Nuggets ripped the game open with an 18-0 run, all the haymakers, uppercuts, and counterpunches thrown throughout the series’ first six games washed away. L.A.’s superior depth, versatility, and offensive firepower were suddenly rendered meaningless against Denver’s championship DNA, elite shotmaking, and stingy defense that junked up the game with an active zone, fast hands, and relentless physicality.
The way they won was weird, though. Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray had poor, inefficient games (by their standards), aided by a puzzling no-show from a Clippers offense that finished 8-for-27 behind the arc after getting whatever shot it wanted in the series’ first few games. (Heading into Game 7, L.A.’s offensive rating was tied with the Indiana Pacers for second best in the postseason.)
Kawhi Leonard finished with 22 points in a performance that wasn’t nearly enough. He was ultimately outplayed by Aaron Gordon, who worked him over a few times in the paint. James Harden did not outrun his big-game ghosts, making just two baskets and attempting only two free throws after an aggressive Game 6. The Nuggets threw two defenders at him quite a bit, and he handled the pressure well, finishing with 13 assists and two turnovers, but Harden also missed a few makeable shots at the basket that immediately turned into fast-break opportunities for Denver—backbreaking sequences that L.A. couldn’t recover from.
One team had to lose, but this series felt like such a wasted opportunity for the Clippers, having seemingly figured the Nuggets out after the first three games, knowing there was no rotation-related button for them to press. It’s also the end of a season in which they overachieved for the first time since Kawhi climbed aboard. They have so much to be proud of, an identity to fall back on, and, once they take a few weeks to reflect back on everything that happened this year, some confidence in knowing Leonard’s body held up when it mattered most.
The more relevant story coming out of Game 7, though, is the Nuggets. This team’s skill, cohesiveness, and resilience shined throughout the series under interim coach David Adelman, who was thrown into the fire after Michael Malone and Calvin Booth were let go just a few weeks ago. Many left them for dead, somewhat deservedly so. After the All-Star break, Denver had the eighth-worst defense in the league, and its net rating was tied with the Sacramento
But beating the Clippers in a classic seven-game series means something. Jamal Murray’s pivotal, reputation-affirming Game 5 means something. Michael Porter Jr. playing through a sprained shoulder and drilling 44.1 percent of his 3s means something. Christian Braun hounding Harden on one end and having the energy and confidence to attack in transition and make wide-open 3s means something. Gordon’s general two-way badassery on a sore calf that (in his own words after Game 3) prohibited him from jumping, followed by the most dramatic dunk of the season, means something. Russell Westbrook giving more than he taketh away means something. Being only plus-29 with Jokic on the court over seven games and winning four of them means something.
There’s a toughness about these Nuggets, as thin and flawed and almost universally dependent on Jokic as they might be. To Adelman, there would be no conference semifinals without how they played at the very end of the regular season, in must-win games to avoid a potential drop into the play-in tournament. “The last three games we won in the regular season to give ourselves a chance to be in this building for this kind of game is a huge deal,” he said.
Now they face the 68- Oklahoma City Thunder, a buzz saw that barely broke a sweat in a first-round sweep against the Memphis Grizzlies. Game 1 tips Monday, and OKC will be rested, healthy, and armed with a roster that was intentionally built to make Jokic’s life miserable. The Thunder signed Isaiah Hartenstein for a few reasons, but the most important is the heft he’s able to provide in this specific playoff matchup, allowing Chet Holmgren to roam off Gordon and not get pummeled in the post.
Similar to the Clippers, the Thunder have a long, punishing, scrappy defense that lives to force turnovers and protect the rim. They don’t care about limiting 3s so much as making their opponent work exceptionally hard to create open ones. It’s a fascinating uphill battle for the Nuggets: an elite offense that eschews outside shots for lob dunks and cutting layups.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is a maestro. Lu Dort, Jalen Williams, Cason Wallace, and Alex Caruso will do everything in their power to curtail Murray’s production, and the Murray-Jokic two-man game will have its work cut out for it against a team that will study how the Clippers switched that action and believes it can have just as much success doing so. The Nuggets have a few cards to play, with Gordon as a backup 5 and more non-Jokic lineups that feature multiple starters.
But this is by far the most impressive team Denver has faced in the playoffs since Jokic and Murray have been teammates. Victory isn’t impossible, though the Nuggets will need the exact type of group effort that was on display in Game 7—for just about every possession—to prevail.
“This is a memorable series,” Adelman said on Saturday night. “We just don’t really have time right now to remember it. Enjoy tonight. You know, have a glass of red wine or whatever you like doing. But we fly to OKC tomorrow.”

Alan Alda approves of Netflix’s new TV series reboot of “The Four Seasons,” which is inspired by his 1981 classic movie of the same name.
Alda made this clear when he visited Tina Fey, who created, wrote, executive produced and stars in the new series, and her co-showrunners Tracey Wigfield and Lang Fisher during the New York City premiere Saturday night and made an impromptu speech.
“I just wanted to tell Tina in front of as many people as I can how beautiful the job is that she did on this series,” Alda said to a room full of rousing applause.
He continued: “For somebody as talented and knowledgeable and skilled as Tina is, to make an adaptation of something that meant so much to me, this movie all those years ago, to see her turn it into something for today, only she could have done it with her partners and her team and it makes me so happy to be honored by her like this.”
Fey, clearly moved, knelt down to give the Hollywood legend a kiss on the cheek as thanks for his kind words.
“Alan, you stole my thunder,” Fey joked after Alda sat back down. “Really, I was about to say that it cannot be overstated what an absolute icon and influence you are.”
“The Four Seasons” is a romantic comedy that follows three married couples across spring, summer, fall and winter as they navigate the ups and downs in their relationships. The original film stars Alda, Rita Moreno and Carol Burnett, and was written and directed by Alda.
Fey’s TV comedy reboot follows a group of longtime friends over four vacations and stars Fey, Colman Domingo, Will Forte and Steve Carell.
“The Four Seasons” will be available to stream on Netflix on May 1.
