Bella Thorne shares horror stories about Mickey Rourke after homophobic slur on ‘Celebrity Big Brother’

Mickey Rourke was already in hot water for making homophobic remarks on the U.K. version of “Celebrity Big Brother” — but now actress Bella Thorne is sharing unsavory details about her time working with him.

“This f—ing dude. GROSS,” Thorne, 27, wrote via her Instagram Story on Friday, April 11, alongside a screenshot of an article about Rourke, 72. She then proceeded to make claims about her experience with Rourke while making the 2020 film “Girl.”

“I had to work with this man — in a scene where I’m on my knees with my hands zip tied around my back. He’s supposed to take a metal grinder to my knee cap and instead he used it on my genitals thru my jeans. Hitting them over and over again,” Thorne alleged. “I had bruises on my pelvic bone — Working with Mickey was one of the all time worst experiences of my life working as an actress.”

Thorne also claimed via X that she has “many gross stories of things” Rourke put her through during filming, including allegedly refusing to “speak to the director or producers,” which forced her to plead with him to keep working.

“I had to convince him to show up and complete his job, as he shouted crazy demands that he wanted from the producers,” she claimed. “In fact I had to beg. Alone. In his trailer. Since the movie could not be finished without him.”

NJ.com has reached out to Rourke’s representative for comment.

Thorne starred as the woman known only as “Girl” in the 2020 film of the same name. Rourke played “Sheriff,” a crooked law enforcement officer. Thorne’s claims about the film come days after “Celebrity Big Brother” producers gave Rourke a warning for making homophobic comments about castmate JoJo Siwa.

“Mickey, ‘Big Brother’ thinks your language was offensive and unacceptable. As a result, ‘Big Brother’ is giving you a formal warning. Further language or behavior of this nature could lead to you being removed from the ‘Big Brother’ house,‘” a disembodied voice told Rourke in the house’s Diary Room.

The warning was the result of Rourke saying of Siwa, 21, “I’m gonna vote the lesbian out real quick.” He also said “I need a f–” before telling Siwa, “[I’m] not talking to you,” and claiming he was referring to a cigarette.

Perhaps the comment that has received the most backlash is Rourke telling Siwa, “If I stay longer than four days, you won’t be gay anymore. … I’ll tie you up.”

Siwa responded, “I can guarantee I will still be gay, and I will still be in a very happy relationship. … I dare you to try, you’ll be the one tied up.”

After receiving a warning from “Celebrity Big Brother” producers, Rourke apologized to Siwa.

“I wanna apologize. … I don’t mean nothing by it. I do mean it. If I didn’t, I wouldn’t say it to you,” he said. Siwa told Rourke she appreciated his apology but later nominated him for eviction from the game.

While Rourke is currently sequestered in the “Celebrity Big Brother” house, his rep Kimberly Hines addressed his controversial behavior on the show in a statement to Us Weekly on Thursday, April 10.

“Mickey speaks from his heart and means well,” Hines said. “He is old school, direct, and honest. I have worked closely with him for nine years and he is 100 percent authentically himself. There will never be another Mickey Rourke. Period.”
