The L.A. Galaxy continue to search for their first win on Wednesday night, as they get set to host a California rival, the San Jose Earthquakes.
The Galaxy continue to have an absolutely dreadful start to their season. They have set the Major League Soccer record for the worst beginning to a campaign, going winless through the club’s first 15 matches of the season. Unfortunately, things do not look like they are going to get any better, as they signed head coach Greg Vanney to an extension.

This is the third match in a row where L.A. is going up against a Golden State foe. Last Saturday, the Galaxy lost to the expansion San Diego FC. Before that, the Galaxy drew at home against Los Angeles FC.
The Earthquakes have had a little more success, to say the least. The team has gone unbeaten in each of its last seven matches across all competitions, including advancing to the quarterfinals of the U.S. Open Cup. They are looking for their first league win in a few weeks, as San Jose has drawn in its last three MLS contests.
The ‘Quakes sit eighth in the Western Conference.
