Wycombe Wanderers head coach Mike Dodds has revealed that his side will be ‘organised, fit and strong’ for when they take on Charlton Athletic on Easter Monday.
The Chairboys currently sit second in the League One table with three games remaining, and now that three consecutive victories will see them automatically promoted back to the Championship after a four-year absence.
However, as well as facing the Addicks on April 21 at Adams Park, who sit fourth, they also take on Leyton Orient and Stockport County in their final two games, all three sides sitting in the play-offs.
Wanderers go into the contest off the back of three consecutive wins after a brilliant 2-0 away triumph at Bolton on Good Friday, Dodds hopes the momentum will continue.
He said: “We have to turn up on Monday against Charlton and produce another performance like that [against Bolton], as we’ll be up against a good side who have a very good coach at this level.
“Charlton are organised, fit and strong, so we know Monday is going to be a test for us.
“I keep telling the guys you’re only as good as your next result, and the work will continue on Saturday for when we play Charlton on Monday.”
On the Addicks, he added: “They are a good team and Nathan Jones is a brilliant manager.
“They are powerful, fit, and he has really got a tune out of them.
“We need to turn up on Monday and get the result.”
